When Vehicle Distribution Services (VDS), a division of Onelogix Pty Ltd, needed a solution to streamline operations at their facility in KwaZulu-Natal, they turned to us.

As a key player in vehicle logistics, storage and distribution in South Africa, VDS manages up to 20,000 vehicles at their KZN site, including brands like Suzuki, Nissan, Cherry, Haval and Jetour.
The challenge was to create a compact, efficient service vehicle that could handle the most common issues in a sprawling yard such as flat batteries, flat tires and vehicles running out of fuel.

The project was spearheaded by our dedicated Design and Project Engineer, Matlotlo Motseki. The compact Suzuki Eeco Panel Van was selected as the ideal base vehicle, perfect for navigating the expansive facility quickly.

RMAA’s innovative design transformed the van into a mobile service hub. These modifications included:

• A 3000w inverter to power an onboard compressor for tire inflation.
• Two 220v plug points for auxiliary power, enabling the use of various tools on-site.
• A retractable hose reel for easy, convenient access.
• A custom-built, lockable steel cupboard with integrated drop trays for the safe storage of fuel jerry cans.
• Dedicated storage for tools and other essential equipment.
• Work lights for safe and effective operation during the night.
• A rotating roof vent to remove fumes and reduce heat, ensuring a safe working environment inside the vehicle.

This project is a testament to our commitment to delivering practical, custom-built solutions for our partners. As VDS is also our assembly partner for the Nissan Magnite Move cargo conversion contract, this collaboration further strengthens our relationship and showcases our expertise in developing innovative solutions. Our team’s exceptional work has resulted in a vehicle that is not just a great result but a vital new asset for VDS.
